Book Title: The Secret

Author: Rhonda Byrne

What do you guys think about this book? By giving this book a slight glimpse it looks as if it is so boring, but like someone said that “don’t judge a book by its cover” or else you’ll miss out the secret to your success. So let me tell you about this book.

What is basically the secret? The great secret of life is the law of attraction. Now the question that pops into our head is “What is law of attraction”?

The book describes the law as a magnetic power emitted by one’s thoughts. The power of thoughts is like a transmission tower that sends out a frequency to the universe and receives the same frequency in a physical or elemental form. For more explanation think that, the world/universe is our genie and we are Aladdin, as you know about their story, in it the genie says that “Your wish is my command” and asks Aladdin to say out your 3 important wishes but here we can ask unlimited wishes from the universe.

After describing the law of attraction Rhonda Byrne has explained the creative process for manifesting dreams/wishes. Those steps are:

• Ask;

▪️Ask whatever you want but never ask that you don’t want, the universe do not know the meaning of (don’t) and if you will ask about what you don’t want so you would get the opposite of it for e.g; Me= I don’t want to be late in class. Universe= Oh! You want to be late in class, you want to be late everyday so okay, your wish is my command.

• Believe;

▪️Believe in the universe, feel and act that you are receiving it.

• Receive;

▪️Sooner or later, at the right moment the universe will fulfill your wish.

Your current thoughts are creating your future life. What you think about the most or focus on the most will appear as your life.

Nothing But The Truth

David Casstevens of the Dallas Morning News tells a story about Frank Szymanski, a Notre Dame center in the 1940s, who had been called as a witness in a civil suit at South Bend. “Are you on the Notre Dame football team this year?” the judge asked. “Yes, your honor.”    “What position?”   “Center, your honor.”     “How good a center?” Szymanski squirmed in his seat, but said firmly:”Sir,I’m the best center Notre Dame has ever had.” Coach Frank Leahy, who was in the courtroom, was surprised. Szymanski always had been modest and unassuming. So when the proceedings were over, he took Szymanski aside and asked why he had made such a statement. Szymanski blushed. “I hated to do it, coach, he said. But, after all, I was under oath.”

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah:

“Therefore, my appeal to mussalmans is:

Don’t depend upon anybody. You must depend upon your own inherent strength. They would possess if they were properly mobilized as one solid people. We have to go through a great deal of spade work and suffering. Our opponents will use all possible means of suppression. They may practice tyranny and may persecute us; but I am confident that we shall emerge out of that ordeal better, stronger that we have ever been.”

Pakistan’s national poet and reformer Dr. Allama Mohammad Iqbal described the intellectual freedom as:

آزادی افکارسے ہے ان کی تباہی

رکھتے نہیں جوفکرو تدبر کا سلیقہ

ہو فکر اگر خام تو آزادی اقکار

انسان کو حیوان بنانے کا طریقہ
